We're excited to announce our latest release of pod (ver 2.0)
Our latest release includes the much anticipated extension of pod's employee data fields for roster management and compliance with the addition of custom fields. This build has been one of our most widely requested features from our great users and we're happy to provide it.
With this release, users now have the ability to add custom fields that fit within their organization's needs such an employee ID number, department, client/location, priority - and anything else that you'd like to track inside of pod. This also includes the ability to upload documents and records outside of NMS's core medical screenings
Custom Fields: Freeform Fields + Lists & Dropdowns
There are two types of custom fields that you can add to your employee roster:
- Freeform Fields
- Lists & Dropdowns
Freeform Fields
Freeform fields can be used to store unique information or data about your employees.
Options for freeform fields are as follows:
- Number
- Text
- Date
- File Upload
Examples of uses of freeform fields are:
- Employee ID numbers
- Contract or Project Dates
- Asset ID numbers
- Credentialing Dates
Lists & Dropdowns
Lists & dropdowns are a set of standardized values or options that are used repeatedly for your employees.
Examples of dropdowns and lists are Departments (accounting, sales, operations); Office Locations (Houston, Atlanta, Detroit); Job Titles (Manager, Associate, Coordinator).
- Location: Houston, Atlanta
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time
- Priority: High, Medium, Low
Adding and Editing Custom Fields
Adding custom fields is accomplished with the use of a webform. Use the form to set the parameters/options that you want to create.
If creating a list/dropdown, use the tool on the right (see image below) to create a list of values.
Uploading docs to an employee's profile
With pod 2.0, you now have the ability to upload documents to an employee's profile. Simply navigate to the employee's profile, select "View/Edit All Employee Info", select the "Documents" tab, and upload the documents. File types include PDFs, JPGs, DOCs, and TIFFs. File sizes max out at 10MBs.
Employee Tags
Employee tags are used to add labels that provide additional context about an employee. They can be used more than once per employee by different members of your team. Re-using an existing tag, increases relevancy and therefore the size of that specific tag in their tag cloud.
Tag Management
Manage tags by going to Tools --> Employee Tags. From here you can view the associated tags for each employee, as well as delete if necessary.
